This is not an ordinary bowl, not used for dining. This bowl is made of horns. Yellow horns are a very brittle material. Among the common products made of horns, there are very few yellow ones. Therefore, this bowl is rare in terms of raw materials and is expensive.
It is more collectible. Carving mountain scenes, water scenes, people, animals (elephants), and leaves on very fragile horns requires extremely high standards for craftsmen. If you are not careful, the entire raw material will be scrapped, which is one of the reasons why it is so expensive. . The three-dimensional side texture is very exquisite. It tells the story of a clever young man who accurately measured the weight of an elephant through a boat more than 1800 years ago. It is rare to have historical stories integrated into a bowl.
If you are also very interested in art, history, and collections, this item is obviously rare.
